What a good question thought Mckinnley Stewart as she wandered into the theatre, her eyes catching on the big stage before her, gaurded by the red velvet curtain. She tipped her head to one side, watching it as if it might start doing something, or as if maybe the curtain will just suddenly open and bursts of music will fill the room as talented youth dance and sing upon the stage. Nothing of this sort happens of course and she finds herself sighing inwardly. If only the world were one big play. You could mold people to be the way you wanted just as you would with a charactor in a play. And people would live their lives dancing around as if on a stage, singing their thoughts and never really worrying about expressing themselves. Of course it would have to be a happy play life was based off, none of that Romeo and Juliet stuff, killing yourself for your true love. Cause frankly it's not that romantic, just depressing. Mckinnley moved forward along the aisle way between the rows of chairs, foot moving slowly along the red carpet that sat on the floor. She made it to the front row of seats and sat down in one of them, gazing up at the stage. She crossed her jeaned legs and gazed up at the stage, folding her hands in her lap before sitting up straight, like a proper lady should. She tipped her head to the side and kept her gaze on the stage as if watching a crucial play, one that you couldn't look away from for fear of missing something. After a few moments her hands unfolded and she began to clap lightly "Bravo!" she called in a somewhat hushed voice "That was simply amazing..bravo" she grinned, gazing up at the 'bowing actors'. She stood after a moment and put on a smile "Oh no I couldn't, Really I couldn't" she mumbled but after a moment she was making her way towards the stage "Well if you insist" she smiled genuinley and climbed up onto the stage.

Her white and black stiletto heels clicked against the wood of the stage. She smiled sheepishly and gazed out at the imaginary, reaching for an imaginary microphone. She took it, gazed out at the crown again and smiled, holding her microphone to her mouth "This is just a little lullaby my Grandmother used to sing to me" she said into her microphone, nodding slightly, before looking out ahead, not really seeing the crowd. She smiled and the crowd waited on the edge of their seats, waiting for this wonderful suprise guest.

Over in Kilarney, many years ago,
me mither sang a song to me in tones so sweet and low.
Just a simple little ditty,
in her good old Irish way,
and I'd give the world if she could sing that song to me this day.

Too-ra-loo-ra-loo ral
too-ra-loo-ra-li,
too-ra-loo-ra-loo-ral,
Hush now don't you cry!

Too-ra-loo-ra-loo ral
too-ra-loo-ra-li,
too-ra-loo-ra-loo-ral,
that's an Irish lullaby.

Oft, In dream, I wander,
to that cot again.
I feel her arms a huggin' me as when she held me then.
Andi I hear her voice a hummin' to me as in days of yore
when she used to rock me fast a-sleep ouutside the cabin door oh.

Too-ra-loo-ra-loo ral
too-ra-loo-ra-li,
too-ra-loo-ra-loo-ral,
Hush now don't you cry!

Too-ra-loo-ra-loo ral
too-ra-loo-ra-li,
too-ra-loo-ra-loo-ral,
that's an Irish lullaby.

She let her voice grow louder and her eyes closed, unaware to the non existent crowd that was watching her. Off in her own little world of memories as she sang the song. Her voice was pretty, something that you could just listen to for hours on end. There she was, sining the lullaby like it meant so much to her, not noticing anything around her, or anyone that may have entered...
